About the Series
Aimed to Promote the Velopark and the Sport of Mountain Biking World cup style cross country racing with 3-5 mile laps provide a cycling experience for everyone. Beginners to Pro’s will revel in the excitement of a first class event and venue. Velopark racing provides spectators an opportunity to view much of the race from several vantage points. Idaho is full of passionate cyclists with a vision to create something special, and special they have. The Idaho Velodrome & Cycling Park in Eagle, Idaho is at the forefront of cycling venues in the US, a burgeoning state-of-the-art facility cultivated from volunteerism and unbridled community support. Replete with full facilities (parking, toilets water etc..), the heart of the complex includes a dual slalom course, pump track, terrain park, free-ride jumps and miles of trails contained within the 240 acre Eagle Sports Complex. The VGP race series is yet another extension to the Treasure Valley mountain biking experience and a logical step in the progression of growing the sport. Race Format for all Races On-site registration is available from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Velopark the evenng before each race and on race day. race day registration closes one hour before race start. The distances listed and times expected are approximations and have yet to be determined. The start times listed are for the April 17th race and subsequent races may vary.
